Hey, looks like the rumors were partially true and there are now leaked ISOs of "Windows 11" all over the Internet. And while I obviously wouldn't recommend installing such a thing on your PC (outside of a virtual machine or a machine you don't have anything important on, as no one knows if any of these things are safe to install), I'm still a bit curious if anyone found anything interesting in there or has some more info.

Now to the browser topic, that those following me on Mastodon might already know about. I am now making my own Chromium browser using CefSharp and just released a new version of that, so I'd be really happy if some of you tried it out and tell me, what you think or maybe even join the testing group.

Excuse me >>1, but pseud0ch is based on the style of the old Japanese anonymous BBS, 2ch. 2ch is the website that Kareha, the software this site forked from, was based on, and the source of most "anonymous textboards" in the form that they exists today.
Not to mention, Kareha predates the multich software by many years.
We may safely conclude that the stylesheet is not stolen, and that you are attempting to troll and/or advertise your site!

I honestly don't think having a Tor and a regular link is a good idea, it kinda defeats the purpose of the board being onionized. But who knows, maybe I'm just alone with this observation. Will check the board out, though nothing beats Kiramoji for sure 😉!

Given that the board wasn't that popular, taking it down was probably an overreaction. I'd have just stopped advertising one of the two, either used it as a non-Tor service or encrypted via Tor and would've left it there. Kiramoji users are obviously going to be biassed, don't be surprised 😉

Alternatives are definitely good to have.

I forgot to add that checking the board it seems that I wasn't the only one who thinks that having two ways to reach the board is a bad idea, but the final decision is yours, right?

Gab is making it more difficult to archive/make fun of them, if you don't have an account there. So I made one at @BasedChinman, to honor the legendary Chinman board memes (@Chinman was already taken).
And to make it the most "free speech" Ameriba account possible, I've decided to make it public, using the TempMail "nobigib451@dghetian.com" as the email and Chinmans chatch phrase "IWillMakeThemLoveMe" as the password.

Thanks for the support, even though at this point they are probably a better parody of themselves than anyone from the outside can be. People were making a big deal out of the orange man social network and than it ended up being a stupid little blog, where he still mostly copes about "totally winning that election", while almost everyone else (even on that side) moved on already, except Gab, where they still worship him.
And to be completely honest, I didn't even really hate him, looking at it from outside of the US, I saw him as a bit of an idiot, but not the evil being, everyone was trying to make him out to be, but than after he lost, he made all the wrong decision on every step of the way and to this day just keeps destroying his reputation and career options - if there even is anything left there for him to destroy.

He didn't really have a choice other than to return. You can't do this kind of activism in an effective way, if you're outside of the country.

I partially agree, if you want to continue, you need to be in the midst of it, but at what cost? Death or imprisonment is not going to help you or your efforts, especially when you know that the moment you enter your country you won't be a free man anymore.

I admire his bravery and determination, there should be no doubt about that, but I'm really not sure how much he will be able to do, especially now. Had he been allowed to remain free, it'd be an entirely different case altogether, but that's obviously not going to fly with the people who'd rather have things stay unexposed.

I did and found out that according to the site my email wasn't, but my phone was (even though said email was already leaked by Adobe in 2013). Still I find it strange that one of the two would get leaked and the other one wouldn't. Makes me wonder, if there are other, even more personal things leaked in there and if any of you have similar experience to what I'm describing here.
*For those who can, I'd obviously recommend not using Facebook, but with it being the only way of talking to many people in this country, it is sadly not an option for me.

We have been working on a small bugfix update. Nothing major, but hopefully tiny things that will make it a bit more pleasant to use the board behind the scenes, mainly:

• As suggested, anonymous is boring when you don't specify a nick/name. So now, we make up one for you. (hint for Ding.ga users, the names are similar, but not quite the same.) If anyone's familiar with Dwarf Fortress, you may recognize these.
• Internally renamed the project from Kareha to Kiramoji (Yep, took us about 3 years, but we've done it!). The footer link now also points to the Git source, feel free to fork and contribute. This is v3.2, in case anyone cares.
• Fixes for the dice roller (haven't you invited your DND friends yet?)
• Pagination now uses a 1-based system (it does not make any sense to go from page 0, right?)
• Anything else forgotten... but then again, it was probably not that important if I did.

Great update and finding out we have things like "dice roller" and DnD possibilities makes me wonder if some other community experiments would work here. One of my favorites is the pixelart game, where users can make art together or draw over other peoples stuff if they choose to do so (at some point they have to, because the canvas size is limited).
The original version of it is at: https://place.chetbox.com/ and you can find me and some of my friends there pretty often, doing all kinds of fun raids, so I would be curious to see if something like that would work here. Especially when the original project is open-source, so we wouldn't have to start from scratch when making our own version.
Hopefully the users here like this idea and would be interested in participating in it, if it ever became a thing here. All opinions on this are welcomed in this thread (unless staff says otherwise). :)

That's a great idea. I'm thinking we could have something like one drawing board per thread. Not sure if anyone is interested, but the potential is definitely there.

Glad you share my enthusiasm, although I don't think we need that many of them as most threads here are no longer active. The best option in my opinion would be to have one art thread, connected to the drawing place where people could come together and plan the drawing.
If you're concerned about the drawing space and limitations, I think it would be better to figure out how to make theis one canvas bigger and offer more colors to choose from, rather than dividing it into smaller canvased connected to specific threads.

The main question still is if the staff would be willing to dedicate even more of their time to trying out my silly ideas, that might not even work in the end.

Makes sense. In that case, I think it should suffice to start a thread here, say the first poster could link to https://place.chetbox.com/, so no modifications would be required. Unless you meant it in a different way, which is also entirely possible ☺️

Yes, that is the simplest solution, but that is the main instance of the game, so it already has some creations from elsewhere on there and is not something linked to this board. But there probably isn't enough people here interested, to fill an entirely new canvas anyway. 🤔

Unfortunately, I am not finding a lot of info on how flood detection is supposed to work. Would it do more than, say, rate limiting via a web server?

My current stance on this is that I'd rather outsource this to a web server, since current implementations, for example in Nginx, Caddy or Apache are quite reliable and they are a lot more customizable than what we could implement. But as always, I can be convinced ☺️

No, it should be done by the software and web server independent. Almost all imageboard and textboard software have this feature. It's just based on IP addresses and how long since the IP's last post.
